Photography Network offers three annual member levels. Please choose the level that best describes your current status.
Unaffiliated/Student $20
Affiliated $40 Senior
Affiliated $100
In consideration of increasing equitable access to the Photography Network community, those facing financial hardship are encouraged to request a free membership by emailing: photography.network.board@gmail.com. No proof of income or any other aspect of one’s status is required—only an email is necessary to receive the code.
By offering a limited number of free memberships, Photography Network recognizes the uneven distribution of resources in the field, with the hopes that those with greater means can pay dues that make participation more accessible for others.
Benefits are the same across all levels.
Member Benefit Description
As a member of Photography Network, you will become part of an active community that fosters discussion, research, and new approaches to the study and practice of photography in its relation to art, culture, society, and history.
Photography Network cultivates a spirit of community and exchange through the following programs with the aim of advancing innovation in the field:
sponsored sessions at the College Art Association annual conference (among other fora)
annual symposium
writing programs
informal gatherings
listserv announcements (sign-up here, membership not required!)
publication(s), our website & social media
Additional benefits include:
ability to vote in Photography Network elections
annual panel and business meeting at CAA
access to members’ photography syllabi
advertising for new publications on the website
monthly digest of listserv announcements, e-mailed out at the end of the month
