Call for Proposals: Photography Network CAA 2027 Sponsored Session

Would you like to chair or co-chair Photography Network’s sponsored session at next year’s College Art Association conference in New York?

Call for Proposals

As a CAA Affiliated Society, Photography Network fosters discussion, research, and new approaches to the study and practice of photography in its relation to art, culture, society, and history, and mounts a yearly session at the conference. Proposals should include a title and short description of the session (250 words max), along with the proposer’s short CV(s) (2 pages max).

Photography Network seeks to highlight new voices, and we encourage early-career scholars to make submissions. The chair(s) of Photography Network’s sponsored session must be current members of both Photography Network and CAA by the time of the conference. (Those facing financial hardship are encouraged to request a free PN membership by emailing photography.network.board@gmail.com).

The deadline to submit your proposal is April 13.

The selected proposal will be determined by EOD April 21 and communicated to all applicants, so that the selected chair(s) of the panel can meet the CAA open-call deadline of 11:59 (ET) April 25.
